Epoxy Flooring in Hollywood, FL

Our shop is on McKinley Street here. Post-war block homes and beachside condos need different prep on the same slab. Free estimates.

Our shop is at 2046 McKinley Street, and Hollywood is where we work every week. That is not a marketing line — it is the practical difference on a job. When a floor needs a second look after a cure, or a homeowner wants to see a finished garage before committing, we are a short drive away rather than scheduling a trip from another county.

Hollywood is unusually split for one city, and the two halves fail differently.

Inland, the city is largely built out from the 1920s boom and the decades that followed. By 1960 Hollywood already had more than 12,000 single-family homes, and a large share of those garages and carports are still the original concrete. That stock needs prep more than it needs product: old paint, adhesive, oil staining and hairline cracking all have to come off or come open before a coating has anything to bond to. On a sixty-year-old slab, the prep is most of the job, and skipping it is what produces a floor that peels in sheets a year later.

Toward the beach and the Intracoastal, the building stock is condos, mid-rises and rental units, and the work is different in kind — parking levels, unit balconies, roof decks and pool surrounds rather than garages. Salt air and year-round humidity are the real constraint there. A coating on a beachside balcony has to hold up to UV, salt film and standing water after a storm, which is a different specification than an inland garage that mostly sees foot traffic and a car.

Standing water is worth calling out. South Florida slabs sit close to grade, and after heavy rain a garage or lanai can take on moisture from below even when nothing has leaked from above. We test for that before coating, because a moisture problem sealed under a floor is a problem you find out about later at full cost.

For driveways and pool decks the considerations shift again: sun exposure, texture for wet footing, and how the surface drains. Decorative work on a driveway is often the most visible thing on the property, so finish choice tends to matter as much as durability.

On outbuildings and structures, Hollywood homeowners should check their own HOA rules and the city's permitting requirements before work begins, since requirements vary by neighbourhood and by structure.

Estimates are free and on site, and living here means we can come back to check a cure without making a day of it. Call or text (754) 801-8819, or send the form.
